Welcome to the Unity of Ames Fundraiser
Thank you for supporting your spiritual community with this Signs of Kindness fundraiser! Together, you raised $151 for Unity of Ames, by purchasing products that offer the spirit of love to family, friends, and neighbors. Your signs and card packs will be available for pick up from the church building on Sunday, December 13th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Or, to make alternate arrangements, call 515-233-1613 or email Rev. Deb.
If you missed the deadline for this group order but still want to participate, place your order from the main Gift of Happiness Store between now and December 20th and enter discount code UNITYAMES at checkout. This will save you $1 on your total order, and still earn money for the community. There are also a limited number of signs available for purchase directly from Unity of Ames. Contact Rev. Deb for more details.

Kindness Cards
Use these small cards to brighten people’s days — and in doing so, brighten your own! The backs are blank except for a small logo, so you can also add a personal message.
These measure 2” x 3.5” (standard business card sized) and come in packs of 25, 50, or 100. Messages include: You are Awesome; You are Appreciated; You are Amazing; You are Loved; You are Not Alone; You’ve Got This; You Did It!; You Rock; and more.
Colors and designs vary, with larger packs containing a larger variety of messages.

Acknowledge acts of kindness or exceptional service
Give cards to others so they can experience the joy of giving
I gave a card to an auto-repair technician who went above and beyond for me in a challenging situation. It was extraordinary to watch his whole demeanor change: He relaxed and stood up straighter, and smiled for the first time in all of our interactions. The card said, "There is hope for the world; Thank you for being you.” - Sergio, Providence, RI
Personal Growth KITs
These variety packs of cards contain words of wisdom, comfort, and encouragement for all the ups and downs we experience in life. The invitation is to get present in the current moment, notice the words you need to hear, and then let those words sink in.
Like Kindness Cards, these measure 2” x 3.5” and come in packs of 25, 50, or 100. Messages include: Breathe; You Can Do Hard Things; Life is Not an Emergency; Slow Down; Your Voice Matters; You Have a Choice; It is Okay Not to Know; Perfection is a Myth; You are Worthy; Keep Going; and many more. These packs contain no duplicates.
Incorporate card selection into a daily mindfulness practice
Pick a random card and use it as a journal prompt
Turn to the cards for guidance in moments of distraction or worry
Laminate them for repeated use in workshops and classrooms
I have been using these for years in the parent groups that I lead. When I tell them to "Take What They Need," they light up and carefully choose the messages that speak to them. Some parents even tear up, emotional that the card will give them exactly the motivation they need to handle whatever they are dealing with. For myself, I kept the "You Can Do It" card on my dashboard during a difficult time and it truly gave me strength and hope when I needed it. - Laura, Natick, MA
